Taken during our vacation to Alaska

Where is home? Home to me is being surrounded by laughter and love. Home is set in a “Forrest Gump” style house with a winding porch all around, a huge kitchen, and a large library. Home is knowing everyday that you are safe and happiness is a blink away.

Most of this has come true for me, some of it is still a dream. But I know one day they will all come true. I think to best describe some of the things in this space, I would have to say that it is driven by an Educated Southern Opinion. You are probably saying to yourself…hold your horses… but really what you will read here is as true as it can get (maybe a little too true). I believe honesty is always the best policy, and that Texas is the best state to live in (that is if you like sweet tea, ranch dressing, Texas Country, and a lot of Bless your Heart‘s).

So Welcome All and Come on in! I hope you enjoy what you read and I would love any suggestions on content or comments on post you read.

“If I ever go looking for my heart’s desire again, I won’t look any further than my own back yard. Because if it isn’t there, I never really lost it to begin with.”
L. Frank Baum, The Wonderful Wizard of Oz
“Being a strong woman is very important to me. But doing it all on my own is not.” -Reba McEntire

“SOME writers have so confounded society with government, as to leave little or no distinction between them; whereas they are not only different, but have different origins. Society is produced by our wants, and government by wickedness; the former promotes our happiness positively by uniting our affections, the latter negatively by restraining our vices. The one encourages intercourse, the other creates distinctions. The first is a patron, the last a punisher.”
Thomas Paine, Common Sense
